Karen Frost and Janet Elston were thrilled to receive the GOLD Award on behalf of CMST at the Healthy Workplace Awards Ceremony in Wadebridge this morning. Karen says  “ a happy and healthy workforce is good for everyone. Staff value the healthy initiatives we offer and they are well supported. If we can help people live happier, healthier lives, then it’s worth all the effort”.

As part of this weekend’s Cornwall Horn Festival there is an opportunity to be in the audience for a demonstration and talk by the UK’s premier jazz French Horn player Jim Rattigan together with our very own Jacqueline Kershaw. Saturday 29th February, 11:30 am - 12:15 pm, Truro School Chapel. Free admission with a retiring collection.

CMST recommends trying instruments out before buying wherever possible. Where online purchase is preferred you can benefit from great prices and support through our Ucan Play portal - on a wide selection of instruments carefully chosen by our music teachers.

CMST is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our ever growing team in North Cornwall/West Devon. In particular, we are looking for a drum/percussion teacher to immediately take on some work in the Holsworthy area with a view to expanding this provision in the surrounding area.

Job VacancyMUSICAL DIRECTOR for The Perraners of Perranporth: a 35 strong (male 15 and female 20) 5 part harmony, A Cappella singing group with an eclectic repertoire of music, all arranged by, now retired, MD Ian Marshall.

Strings Steal the Show at Music Festival!

Congratulations to our young string players in St.Austell who impressed the adjudicator Marilyn Davis, at the St. Austell Festival of Music and Speech on Thursday December 5th. Ms Davis commented on the high quality of string playing in the area, thanking teachers for their hard work and dedication. “ Being part of an ensemble is so beneficial for the progress and enjoyment of learning an instrument and we look forward to taking part in this festival every year, which always has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere” said Karen Frost, string teacher at CMST.
