On Saturday 29th September hundreds of people filled Truro Cathedral to celebrate the life and music of David Frost. The programme - which can be downloaded here - featured many of the groups which David conducted and gave an opportunity to hear some of David’s fantastic compositions.
His legacy to music, musicians and music education in Cornwall will endure for many years to come.
Download a registration form or turn up to rehearsal and collect a registration form.
It’s free! No charge for joining!
*Eventually if there are enough students we will split the group into Juniors (beginners-Grade2) and Seniors 4.45pm-5.30pm (Grade 2+)

Here's a link to a page from the Cathedral website about a Christmas carol service which will feature carols from the Cornish diaspora - which were taken abroad by Cornish emigrants and have survived and/or evolved. The carols will be sung by a large community choir and this is a call for singers.
The service will be held on Thursday 20th December at 7.30pm (till 9pm).

Newquay Choral Society is actively seeking a new Musical Director to help continue its long performance history of 120 years in and around Newquay.
Past works performed by the Society have included Handel’s “Messiah”, requiems by Mozart, Fauré, Rutter and Jenkins and Haydn’s “Creation”. We are equally at home with both traditional and contemporary music within the choral repertoire.
Currently the Society presents two concerts during each performance year: one in late April and the other in December which generally incorporates a seasonal theme. Alongside the core activities groups of singers may offer seasonal singing, if required, in restaurants, National Trust properties and a residential care home.
Our proficient accompanist, Rico Gerber, is an important part of our team.
At present our membership consists of around 35 singers. We meet every Monday evening, from early September to late April, at St. Columb Minor Church Hall between 7:30pm – 9:30pm.
For more details please contact our Secretary, Marilyn Thompson, on (01637) 872813 or
